Is the Afghanistan War worth fighting?

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Reported By Mike Zaman

According to an ABC News/Washington Post Poll taken on June 3-6, 2010.

53% of America feels the war is not worth fighting this is the highest number who disapproves of continuing the war since it started.

While 42% believe the US is winning the war it is a close call with 39% believing we are losing the war and 12% who just have no idea.

Clearly the majority of America 56% now oppose the war an even higher number than those who feel it is not worth fighting.

So suspiciously the Government now claims that they have found Afghanistan to have more than a Trillion dollars in minerals. It’s difficult to believe that all of a sudden we find these results while the majority of Americans are now against the war.

This November could be a wake up call for incumbents

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

by Mike Zaman

With the growing anti government sentiment radiating across America , and the deep set dissatisfaction with those who have been elected to represent our interest, the people are speaking loud and clear, but as usual no one is listening.

According to Rasmussen Reports, the voters overwhelmingly feel its time to vote out all incumbents.

Only a small number 19% of US Voters think it would be good for most incumbents in Congress to be reelected this November.

While a majority, Sixty-five percent (65%) take the opposite view.

And only 42% think it will make a difference if Republicans win control of Congress.

Most Political Class voters (51%) believe the country would be better off if most incumbents in Congress were reelected, but 75% of Mainstream voters disagree.

Still, while hoping incumbents get defeated, only 42% of all voters say there will be a noticeable change in the lives of most Americans if the Republicans recapture control of Congress. Thirty-two percent (32%) disagree and don’t expect much to change while another 25% are not sure.

In Nevada Sharron Angle running as a Republican, but expressing the views of the fringe tea party won the primary and the right to take on Democrat Harry Reid, her margin shows an 11 point advantage over Reid.
