PowerSafe Technology Corporation (PSFT.PK) subsidiary Amplification Technologies Inc. (www.amplificationtechnologies.com) (ATI), is offering higher performance thermoelectrically cooled discrete amplification single photon counting solid state photodetectors. These photodetectors are mounted on a two stage thermoelectric cooler inside a hermetically sealed TO8 package and can be operated down to a temperature of -30oC.

American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) utility subsidiary AEP Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) has signed a letter of intent to purchase the transmission and distribution assets of Valley Electric Membership Corporation (VEMCO). Valley Electric Board members unanimously approved a voluntary dissolution of the cooperative. Pending due diligence, SWEPCO will purchase the VEMCO assets for approximately $94 million, and assume certain other liabilities. The company also will provide payment for the VEMCO patronage capital at closing, currently estimated at about $30 million. A purchase agreement is expected by the end of the year, and a VEMCO membership vote to dissolve is anticipated in January or February.
Equifax, Inc. (NYSE: EFX), announced today an addition to its Personal Information Solutions suite of identity protection, credit monitoring and personal finance products, Equifax Credit Score Card((TM)). The Equifax Credit Score Card provides consumers with a FREE snapshot of their credit score range and a high-level explanation of their credit standing. Access to the credit score range also includes a description of some of the key factors that may be impacting the credit score, as well as a customized recommendation of an Equifax product that can help the consumer better understand, track and protect their credit.
