Many KB Home (NYSE: KBH) homebuyers now have a second chance to qualify for a federal tax credit on the purchase of their new home. The stimulus bill signed into law today extends the federal tax credit for first-time homebuyers to homes purchased before May 1, 2010 and closed before July 1, 2010. In addition to this extension, the program has been modified to include current homeowners and military personnel, as well as an increase in the maximum income allowed to qualify.
