500 Million People use Face Book:

Face book was formed six year ago by ‘Mark Zuckerberg’ who introduced the site as a portal for college students to communicate with each other. Zuckerberg had never thought of the site becoming this popular.
This Wednesday Face book reported that the users of facebook are now 500 million people. 70% of the current users are outside of the U.K.
“We all love to dream big around here,” said Randi ZuckerBerg, the sister of the Face book founder, who handles marketing. “We are going to take a day or so to celebrate 500 million users before we start thinking about going beyond that.”
Due to the incredible success rate of the site, Mark Zuckerberg is now confident that the numbers of the users would increase to 1 billion users.
The site is facing a strong competition from Google, and is also facing privacy concerns, still Zuckerberg is hopeful.
International users of the site are increasing significantly. International users have increased by 73% in one year i.e. from 2009 till now. The vast social network comprised of 250 million users last summer, but now the number has increased to 500 million. The most user producing month was this February. Almost 100 million users joined facebook this February.
There is less information available about the financial matters of the social ‘giant’. Almost 12 offices are present around the world, and 1400 employees are employed in the Palo Alto headquarters of facebook.
